Film noir - Genre

The genre film noir relates to a stylish Hollywood crime drama which seems to aim specifically to emphasize sexual motivations and a corrupt society. The classic Hollywood film noir period dated from the early 1940’s to the late 1950’s. The general era consists of a low key black and white visual style with variations of camera angles and seems to contain roots in German expressionist cinematography.

  1. Ye this is basically what noir films are. The use of Female fetals also is very significant in these type of films. woman that are able to seduce men to do there bidding. classic shots of them are pan up from there feet to their face, also shots of their legs and their faces while smoking creates sexual tention within the sequence. a fast talking rate is also used normally in noir films, which is a classic technique used in most noir films to identify itself as noir.
